Nestlé, the world’s largest food manufacturer, has said it has developed a new technology that will reduce the sugar content of some sweets by 40 percent without affecting taste.

Kit Kat says researchers have found a way to change the structure of sucrose microparticles only by natural ingredients. Nestle said that by making sucrose crystals hollow, can make sucrose particles more quickly dissolved in the tip of the tongue, thereby reducing the amount of sugar in chocolate products.

Nestlé said it is patenting its invention and is expected to begin using it in a variety of sweets from 2018.
In fact, Nestle is not the first company to test the molecular structure. Pepsi had tried in 2010, and that will not affect the taste of snacks while reducing the amount of salt.
